SSE Renewables 01

Our strategy is to lead the transition to a net zero future through the world-class development, construction and operation of renewable power assets and we’re building more offshore wind energy than any other company in the world.
We’re part of SSE plc, the UK-listed integrated energy group which is investing £12.5bn over the next five years, or £7m a day, to deliver a Net Zero Acceleration Programme to address climate change head-on. This includes plans by SSE Renewables to double our installed renewable energy capacity to 8GW by 2026. We also have ambitious targets to increase our renewables output fivefold to over 50TWh annually by 2031 – enough to be able to power around 20 million homes each year.

Statkraft is Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy. They’re at the heart of the UK’s energy transition, employing nearly 450 staff across England, Scotland and Wales. They’ve invested over £1.3 billion in the UK's renewable energy infrastructure and facilitated over 4 GW of new-build renewable energy generation through PPAs. Statkraft has a leading markets business and activities in wind, solar, hydro, storage, grid stability, green hydrogen and EV charging, with a global business goal to develop 9 GW of wind and solar by 2025.

Hyro logo 01 Badge Sponsor - HYRO

HYRO is a joint venture between Octopus Energy Generation and RES. HYRO provides green hydrogen solutions for energy-intensive businesses, supporting hard-to-electrify processes to reach their decarbonisation goals. Green hydrogen will play a key role in the energy transition – as a zero-carbon fuel it can help many sectors in the net-zero journey. HYRO supports and promotes businesses electrifying their processes where possible – we see this as our best chance of rapid decarbonisation and the best use of the green power that our joint venture partners work hard to create. There are many industrial processes that are difficult to electrify and HYRO is excited about the role green hydrogen can play and wants to work with businesses to support their decarbonisation journey. This aligns with the UK's wider decarbonisation ambitions as HM Government is targeting 10 GW of low hydrogen capacity built by 2030, with at least 5GW of that target being green.

Logo Navy Green 1 Event Sponsor - Dolphyn Hydrogen

Dolphyn Hydrogen is an independent business progressing the commercialisation of the Dolphyn Green Hydrogen Technology Innovation. Over the last 5 years, the Dolphyn concept has been developed by ERM Group with support and funding from the UK Government. Dolphyn Hydrogen is working with governments, supply chains, energy companies and more, to seek deployment of the Dolphyn process in waters around the UK and further afield.

The innovative Dolphyn process combines offshore wind power, electrolysis and seawater desalination on a floating wind platform to produce green hydrogen at scale without need for electrical grid connection. Dolphyn is looking ahead to technology trials in 2023 and deployment of a commercial scale demonstrator in Aberdeen in 2025.
