Edinburgh Rewards - Delegate Benefit

 web button with logo

The Edinburgh Rewards Passport is a new initiative launched by Convention Edinburgh in June 2014 to reward conference delegates with special offers and value added benefits from an invited group of bars, restaurants, retail outlets and tour operators around the city.

Conferences of any size can sign up to the initiative and receive individual passports and map for their delegates. Offers are listed on www.edinburghrewards.com which is free to download and the passport then identifies them as eligible for the ‘Edinburgh Reward’ as advertised.

Travel

With excellent air links and rail and road network, getting to Edinburgh from overseas or within the UK has never been easier. We encourage all of our delegates to travel by public transport.

Train

Edinburgh has two railway stations - Waverley and Haymarket. Waverley is the main station and has direct routes to many cities across the country, including over 25 daily departures from London. Visit www.eastcoast.co.uk or www.nationalrail.co.uk

Virgin Trains East Coast serve Edinburgh from cities including London, York and Newcastle. Virgin Trains West Coast serve Edinburgh from many cities on the West Coast including London, Birmingham, Preston and Carlisle.

Bus

Edinburgh's main bus terminal is located at St Andrews Square. Bus connections stretch right across the UK. Visit www.nationalexpress.com or www.citylink.co.uk

Plane

Edinburgh has one of the UK's fastest growing airports. The Airlink 100 operates a frequent bus service (every 10 minutes at peak times) between Edinburgh Airport and the city centre, with designated stops en route. The journey takes 20 minutes. Delegates are advised to disembark at Haymarket Railway Station and to follow signs for EICC on foot (5 minute walk). Visit www.edinburghairport.com
